Wakeseed

In a spirit of cooperation and in an integrated and inclusive manner, this association works for sustainability and personal and community development. Its philosophy can be summarised in three simple ideas based on the ethics of permaculture:
1) CARING FOR NATURE

Total respect for, and the conservation of, all living things enable holistic cycles to be generated. These sustain the biodiversity that is necessary for the earth to remain balanced and capable of generating the biocapacity that allows for life on earth;
2) CARING FOR PEOPLE

It is not possible to care well for people (starting with ourselves) without caring for the earth, and vice-versa. All human beings have the duty to seek and the right to receive food, shelter, health care, love, education and work, among other necessities, so that they can manifest themselves as beings participating in the life process of their community;
3) FAIR SHARING

Wakeseed permacultureIn a society that is economically fragmented and culturally diverse, Wakeseed wants to contribute to making information and training accessible to everyone who wants to increase their level of personal knowledge and community integration. Wakeseed thus organises activities that are not for profit, or at a low cost, for different section of the population. In their philosophy, they bring together what motivates and guides human beings in their work with the type of relationships they want to establish with the communities they aim to work with, from Municipal Councils or charities to companies and families.
